Главный герой: Женщина (вариант)

В данную категорию включены игры, в которых хотя бы одним из игровых персонажей (протагонистов) на выбор может быть женщина. Героиня может быть как заранее прописана сценаристами, так и создана самим пользователем в редакторе персонажей. Ключевым условием этой группы является наличие альтернатив: если в игре предусмотрен исключительно женский протагонист без возможности выбора другого пола, такие проекты относятся к основной категории «Главный герой: Женщина».

Для стратегий и тактических игр учитываются только те персонажи, которые непосредственно представляют игрока (например, настраиваемый лидер в Age of Wonders или созданный наёмник в Jagged Alliance), в то время как обычные боевые единицы или сюжетные герои под управлением игрока не являются основанием для включения. В проектах с разделением на несколько кампаний игра попадает в этот список, если хотя бы одна сюжетная ветка или её значительный сегмент посвящены женщине — например, кампания Ночных эльфов под предводительством Тиранды в WarCraft III или прохождение за отдельных персонажей в Arcade-режимах файтингов.
